The following bows are for use with the Star Wars 2nd Edition (D6) rules. They are all constructed of high-tech materials (alloys and composites, mostly). Each bow does varying damages, depending on range, and each damage code corresponds to a specific range band.

Powertech Longbow
This longbow, designed and manufactured by Powertech, was created with only the strongest species in mind – puny humans need not apply. The bow itself is a double-recurve model, nearly 1.5 meters in length, that is constructed from high-tech "smart" polymers that keep their shape even if the bow is left strung for several weeks. While the pull of the bow is restrictive, the effects are devastating against both armored and unarmored targets. Whether you're hunting krayt dragons on the Dune Sea, or fighting off mynocks in an asteroid belt, Powertech's Longbow is the tool for the job.

Model: Powertech Longbow
Type: Longbow
Scale: Character
Skill: Bows: Longbow
Ammo: 1
Cost: 1250 cr.
Availability: 3, R
Fire Rate: 1
Range: 3-20/60/180
Damage: 6D/3D/1D+2
Game Notes: Anyone using or attempting to string a Powertech Longbow must have a Strength rating of at least 4D+1. Standard arrows are too small for use with this bow, and special arrows (manufactured by Powertech) must be purchased at double the cost.

Golon Arms Hunting Bow
From the makers of the FC1 Flechette Gun comes another survival tool that no serious scout should be without. The Golon Arms hunting bow is compact, powerful, and, thanks to its patented "Electro-flex" feature, practically strings itself. Available in traditional wood-tone, as well as several camouflage patterns.

Model: Golon Arms Hunting Bow
Type: Longbow
Scale: Character
Skill: Bows: Longbow
Ammo: 1
Cost: 1000 cr.
Availability: 1, R
Fire Rate: 1
Range: 3-15/40/120
Damage: 5D/2D+2/1D+1
Game Notes: Anyone using a Golon Arms Hunting Bow must have a Strength rating of at least 3D. The bow is constructed of a "memory" polymer that retains its shape. A low-charge current is applied to the bow by pressing a small panel near the handgrip. This charge causes the bow itself to become less rigid, allowing it to be strung with ease. Comes equipped with two strings and a power cell for the "Electro-flex" feature (usually good for a hundred uses). Ammunition sold separately.

Mer-Sonn "Torbull" Short Bow
Like its namesake, the Mer-Sonn "Torbull" short bow is tough, reliable, and able to withstand whatever kind of punishment you can dish out. Every component of the Torbull, including the special string, is designed with inhospitable environments in mind – it can survive in acidic atmospheres, blistering heat, numbing cold, or the frigid vacuum of space. When you buy a Mer-Sonn Torbull short bow, you've just gained a friend for life…yours.

Model: Mer-Sonn "Torbull" Short Bow
Type: Shortbow
Scale: Character
Skill: Bows: Shortbow
Ammo: 1
Cost: 800 cr.
Availability: 1, F
Fire Rate: 1
Range: 3-10/30/60
Damage: 4D/2D/1D
Game Notes: Anyone using a Mer-Sonn Torbull Short Bow must have a Strength rating of at least 2D. The bow designed with extreme environments in mind, and will not shatter, melt, or dissolve if exposed to extremes of climate. Comes standard with an extra string, ten standard arrows, and a quiver.

Praxian Systems "Delphi" Survival Bow
This compact and rugged bow is fast becoming a standard piece of equipment for many escape pods and lifeboats across the galaxy. The selling points include cost, size, and ease of use. Nearly anyone can pick up and use a Delphi survival bow. Generally used to hunt small game, it can also be used for self-defense in a pinch. The Delphi survival bow, by Praxian Systems – it might just mean the difference between life and death.

Model: Praxian Systems "Delphi" Survival Bow
Type: Shortbow
Scale: Character
Skill: Bows: Shortbow
Ammo: 1
Cost: 500 cr.
Availability: 2, F
Fire Rate: 1
Range: 3-7/20/50
Damage: 3D/1D+2/1D
Game Notes: Anyone using a Delphi Survival Bow must have a Strength rating of at least 1D. The survival bow breaks down into three smaller pieces and comes with a storage/carry case. It's well-balanced and incredibly easy to use (reflected in a +1 pip bonus to hit), but it's also flimsy and prone to warp if mistreated. If left strung for more than six hours at a time, the damage rating of the weapon drops by 1D (to a minimum of 1D). A side-benefit of the light construction is that the Delphi survival bow, when broken down into its individual components, is not recognizable as weapon when scanned by security equipment. This has made it common as an assassin's tool in recent years. Comes equipped with a cloth carrying case (reversible, black on one side and reflective on the other) that acts as a quiver, in addition to six standard arrows.

Ammunition Notes
Standard flight arrows cost 5 credits each, and do the listed damage.
Broadhead arrows are 15 credits each and add +2 to damage at all ranges.
