Hail the Talone

[Essence Inn, Reading Room]
Emitting an eerie red-blue glow, a large firepit in the center of the room sends off waves of warmth throughout this small yet cozy reading room. Large overstuffed chairs and small matching ottomans make comfortable islands in front of the fire. A beautiful woven tapestry, depicting Duvan teaching a school of disciples, hangs over the fireplace mantle. A locked lanakin mesh gate separates the room from shelves upon shelves of reading material. A filigree doored archway leads out.

The good smell of ancient books brings pleasant memories of afternoons with old friends.
Your group follows you.

You say, "Sit, and I'll tell you about it."
Sinjinn sips some hot tea from her sturdy mug.
You sit down on an overstuffed chair.
Sinjinn sits down on an overstuffed chair.
You say, "It sounds rather lewd, doesn't it? You might enjoy it, it's about demons."
You swallow some hot tea.
The hot liquid burns your throat as it goes down.
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow in your direction.
Sinjinn says, "Really? Do tell."
You say, "Let me find the page I was at."
You sip some hot tea from your sturdy mug.
The tea tastes so good; just the right amount of steeping.
You turn a page in your flimsy hide-bound book.
Leyrn comes through the doors into the room.
You nod to Leyrn politely.
Leyrn nods slightly.
You say, "This is the bit..." to Sinjinn.
You turn a page in your flimsy hide-bound book.
You say, "No, maybe it isn't."
Leyrn opens a filigree door and steps into the front room.
You say, "There's a bit in here where she goes to the demon realm."
You turn the pages of your flimsy hide-bound book.
Sinjinn asks, "Really? Hmmm. I wonder if Berich opened a window for her to see in or if it's from her imagination?"

[page 4]

Viele glanced behind her as the portal quickly closed, dismissing a twinge of
regret and concern over Ralin. Looking ahead a furrow crossed her brow as she
saw her home, or what had been forced on her as her home. Vaguely similar to
the world she just came from but just skewed enough to be disturbing, a blood
red sky supported deep, concealing shadows beneath everything in sight. A lone
wiry, twisted and leafless tree clinging to life sat darkly on the black
horizon. Next to it rested Dernios' keep. At a distance, it was difficult to
make out anything but a large shadow.

You say, "Here it is."
Sinjinn folds her hands together in her lap.
You offer your flimsy hide-bound book to Sinjinn.
Sinjinn grins slightly.
Sinjinn accepts your offer.
You chuckle.
You swallow some hot tea.
So refreshing, this tea warms your stomach.
You say, "That page and the next."
You say, "And then there's a servitor demon he uses, I'll find that bit."
Sinjinn nods distractedly.
Sinjinn turns a page in her flimsy hide-bound book.
Sinjinn says, "Oh, this is intriguing."
Sinjinn offers her flimsy hide-bound book to you.
Sinjinn says, "I might want to read that after all."
Sinjinn swallows some hot tea.
You accept Sinjinn's offer.
Sinjinn sips some hot tea from her sturdy mug.
You turn a page in your flimsy hide-bound book.
You say, "There, it's a 'vurlstak.'"
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow.
Sinjinn says, "That sounds..."

[page 6]

She glanced at Dernios, who had called one of his workers to his side. It was a
horrifying creature, although Viele had grown accustomed to seeing such during
her time here. It was a vurlstak, a demon's creation with massive powerful
leathery wings which now lay folded in misleading submission on its back.
Snarling blood red teeth sharply protruded from its gaping maw, and its dark
body consisted of sinew and wire. It crouched in fealty to Dernios, fully aware
of the demonlord's power and not willing to challenge it. Dernios petted the
vurlstak's head gently and told him of his mission. Viele's eyes opened wide at
the words.

Sinjinn chuckles.
You offer your flimsy hide-bound book to Sinjinn.
Sinjinn accepts your offer.
Sinjinn furrows her brow.
Sinjinn asks, "When was this written, do you know?"
Sinjinn glances at you.
You say, "I don't know, but this volume is significantly longer than the first. I gather it was originally a shared story that Raeh added on to."
You say, "Before I had my troubles, at any rate."
You ask, "It sounds plausible, then?"
Sinjinn says, "Hm. I was beginning to wonder if this is where Berich had gone."
You grimace.
Sinjinn says, "Dernios as Berich? Yes. Entirely plausible."
You say, "What an unsettling thought."
Sinjinn says, "Yes... quite."
Sinjinn glances at her flimsy hide-bound book.
Sinjinn offers her flimsy hide-bound book to you.
Sinjinn ponders the situation.
You accept Sinjinn's offer.
Sinjinn sips some hot tea from her sturdy mug.
You say, "I'm only halfway through Chapter 3. Every time I settle in, Xelian comes into the Plum with insomnia."
Sinjinn chuckles.
Sinjinn says, "This seems a much quieter place."
You say, "You know they're right next door to us? That smoke the night before last was Xelian nearly burning the room down."
Sinjinn indicates the room.
You nod to Sinjinn.
Sinjinn asks, "Oh, was that them?"
Sinjinn chuckles.
Sinjinn asks, "What happened?"
You say, "Put something too close to the lamp, I gather."
Sinjinn tsks.
You act: Jurion mimics Xelian, "I would have knocked on the way out!"
Sinjinn chuckles.
Sinjinn says, "Well, it's not like they had anything to throw on it but ale."
Sinjinn chuckles at you.
You say, "This is true, and doubtless Kot would have had something to say about that."
Sinjinn chuckles.
Sinjinn says, "No doubt... 'Let it burn! Not my ale!'"
You chuckle.
You lean back while sitting on the overstuffed chair.
You act: Jurion props his feet on an ottoman.
You ask, "I wonder why they keep those locked up?"
You say, "The Duvanals let all sorts of rabble in to finger their collection."
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow.
Sinjinn says, "I've yet to understand the motives of many of these people."
Jhanaiyeth moves in.
Jhanaiyeth smiles at Sinjinn.
You say, "Mayhap they're magical."

> l jha
Jhanaiyeth is a sylvan of Lior lineage in her late one hundreds. She has brilliant violet eyes, whose utter beauty stands alone in a face ravaged with scars. One cheek is sunken in, the curve of lip misshapen and skewed upwards in a leering smile. Fine, silky golden blonde hair is pulled back tightly and clasped in a simple braid down her back. The once creamy pale skin of her face and neck is puckered and thickly scarred. Her figure is enshrouded with a multitude of robes.
Jhanaiyeth is holding an earthenware mug in her left hand.
She is wearing some simple leather sandals and some layered opaque robes.

Jhanaiyeth smiles at you.
You nod to Jhanaiyeth politely.
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow in Jhanaiyeth's direction.
Sinjinn nods slightly.
Jhanaiyeth limps slowly over to a chair.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Good evening."
You stand up.
You say, "Good eve."
You smile at Jhanaiyeth.
You sit down on an overstuffed chair.
Sinjinn says, "Evening."
Sinjinn sips some hot tea from her sturdy mug.
Jhanaiyeth asks, "Are you waiting for Pularynth?"
Jhanaiyeth smiles slightly.
You say, "Yes, that is our pleasure this evening."
You sip some hot tea from your sturdy mug.
So refreshing, this tea warms your stomach.
Sinjinn nods slightly.
Sinjinn shifts her weight.
Sinjinn swallows some hot tea.
Leyrn nods to Jhanaiyeth.
Jhanaiyeth turns her head slowly, looking at each with brilliant eyes.
Jhanaiyeth smiles at Leyrn.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Good evening."
Leyrn says, "Good evening."
You nod to Leyrn politely.
Leyrn nods to you.
Jhanaiyeth says, "You were most quiet coming in."
Leyrn says, "I am adept."
Leyrn shrugs.
Jhanaiyeth sits down on an overstuffed chair.
Sinjinn sips some hot tea from her sturdy mug.
Jhanaiyeth adjusts her robes about her with a small grimace of pain.
You act: Jurion tucks his finger into his book.
You close your flimsy hide-bound book.
Jhanaiyeth says, "The scholar shall be right in."
Sinjinn nods to Jhanaiyeth slightly.
Sinjinn swallows some hot tea.
Jhanaiyeth says, "My given is Jhana."
Scholar Pularynth walks in.

> l pul
Scholar Pularynth is a human male in his eighties with distinguished salt and pepper hair, a long nose, bright green eyes and a full lower lip. Pularynth is tall and svelte although slightly bent. Marring his otherwise smooth face, a distinct scar starts at the corner of his left eye and wraps around his jawline.
Scholar Pularynth is holding a cracked leather tome in his right hand and an earthenware mug in his left hand.
He is wearing an embroidered gray robe and some tooled leather sandals.

> l pul's tome
Aged and well-used, this tome has seen its fair share of owners. On the front is the title, "Orcish Verbal Phrasings"

Scholar Pularynth nods to Jhanaiyeth.
Jhanaiyeth stands up.
You stand up.
Scholar Pularynth smiles.
You nod to Scholar Pularynth politely.
Leyrn nods slightly.
You sit down on an overstuffed chair.
Scholar Pularynth nods to you.
Sinjinn nods to Scholar Pularynth.
Sinjinn sips some hot tea from her sturdy mug.
Sinjinn drains her sturdy mug dry!
Seeing that it's empty, Sinjinn sets her sturdy mug aside.
Jhanaiyeth says, "And the is the scholar m'lord Pularynth."
Scholar Pularynth nods to Sinjinn.
Jhanaiyeth smiles warmly at Scholar Pularynth.
Scholar Pularynth nods to Leyrn.
Jhanaiyeth gazes at the scholar with respect.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Good evening to you all."
Jhanaiyeth sits down on an overstuffed chair.
Scholar Pularynth says, "I'm glad you were all able to make it this evening."
Leyrn nods to Scholar Pularynth slightly.
You say, "We are honored by your invitation."
You swallow some hot tea.
The hot liquid burns your throat as it goes down.
You drain your sturdy mug dry!
Seeing that it's empty, you set your sturdy mug aside.
Scholar Pularynth looks lost in thought.
Leyrn sits down on the freshly waxed wood floor.
Scholar Pularynth nods to you.
Jhanaiyeth says, "I had just introduced myself sir, and was about to ask them their givens."
Scholar Pularynth says, "I know a bit about them already."
Scholar Pularynth says, "You must be Jurion." to Leyrn.
Scholar Pularynth says, "And you, Leyrn." to you.
Scholar Pularynth nods to Sinjinn.
Scholar Pularynth says, "And Sinjinn."
Jhanaiyeth turns her mishapen gaze solemnly to each.
Scholar Pularynth smiles.
Leyrn coughs.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Ahhhh."
You chuckle.
Leyrn says, "I am Leyrn."
Sinjinn nods to Scholar Pularynth.
Scholar Pularynth blinks.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Ah.. alright."
Scholar Pularynth scratches his chin.

> l ley
Leyrn is a sylvan man of muir ancestry in his twenties. His round eyes is amber with a misty haze about them. He has a regal nose, a smiling mouth, and a handsome jaw. He wears his shoulder-length golden yellow hair in a chignon. He has long slender ears, tanned skin, and an athletic build.
His hands are empty.
He is wearing a gleaming targe shield, a shipping clerk's cap, some black leather breeches, a threaded tawny sheath, a midnight blue silk shirt with an elegant fob, some soft leather sneaking boots, and a dark suede carrysack.

Leyrn leans forward while sitting on the freshly waxed wood floor.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Hope you don't mind if I sit."
Scholar Pularynth sits down on an overstuffed chair.
You say, "No, of course not."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Long day."
Scholar Pularynth nods.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Drink your tea."
Jhanaiyeth says, "Your voice is still hoarse sir."
Jhanaiyeth swallows some hot herbal honey-flavored blackroot tea.
Scholar Pularynth smiles at Jhanaiyeth.
Scholar Pularynth nods.
Jhanaiyeth smiles at Scholar Pularynth.
Scholar Pularynth swallows some hot herbal honey-flavored blackroot tea.
Leyrn sits down on an overstuffed chair.
Scholar Pularynth sighs deeply.
Jhanaiyeth says, "I am here at his requesst to perhaps enlighten each of you."
Leyrn leans on an overstuffed chair.
Jhanaiyeth says, "In the ways of orcish behavior."
Scholar Pularynth says, "And, of course, communication with the orcs."
You put a flimsy hide-bound book on an overstuffed chair.
You act: Jurion laces his fingers together.
Scholar Pularynth runs his hand over his cracked leather tome.
Sinjinn crosses her legs.
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Tell me."
Scholar Pularynth says, "If we were mistaken, and any of you wish not to be here, please leave now."
Jhanaiyeth's puckered brow creases even more.
Scholar Pularynth raises an eyebrow.
Jhanaiyeth asks, "Why is it each of you wish to be here?"
Jhanaiyeth glances at Scholar Pularynth.
Sinjinn glances at you.
You say, "I have no particular desire to leave at this moment."
You smile slightly.
Leyrn leans back while sitting on the overstuffed chair.
Jhanaiyeth smiles at Leyrn.
Scholar Pularynth raises an eyebrow in Leyrn's direction.
Scholar Pularynth asks, "Are you going to answer the good lady's question?"
Jhanaiyeth says, "It may help to know your reasons.."
Scholar Pularynth leans back while sitting on the overstuffed chair.
Sinjinn says, "For the moment, I was invited. Now I'm intrigued. It remains to see if I continue to be so, but so far..."
Jhanaiyeth casts a look at Pularynth, a soft adoring light in her gaze.
Leyrn says, "I am always on the lookout for an opportunity, sometimes these come in the form of learning, and other times in less.. straightforward terms."
Scholar Pularynth nods to Leyrn.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Fair enough."
Jhanaiyeth nods.
Scholar Pularynth raises an eyebrow quizzically in your direction.
You say, "I should like to be enlightened as to the ways of orcish behavior, of course."
You smile wryly.
Scholar Pularynth nods.
You say, "And in times like these, a knowledge of the language would seem to be of use, as well."
The air shimmers for a moment.
Leyrn nods to you.
You say, "One never knows where one might end up."
Leyrn furrows his brow.
Scholar Pularynth grins.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Very true."
Sinjinn scowls.
Jhanaiyeth says, "So many judge us for our knowledge.."
Jhanaiyeth glances at Scholar Pularynth.
Scholar Pularynth sighs.
Scholar Pularynth says, "We ask that you keep this gathering between the three of you."
Jhanaiyeth nods slowly.
Scholar Pularynth nods to Jhanaiyeth.
Scholar Pularynth says, "For the obvious reasons."
Leyrn nods.
Sinjinn nods.
Jhanaiyeth says, "We live quietly, and do not wish angry mobs to seek us out."
You nod agreeably.
Jhanaiyeth lowers her gaze, sighing softly.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Now, I do believe we'll start with a few basic orcish terms... and you all shall repeat after me, trying to say them yourselves."
You say, "I should note, however, that if that haze in the air was what I believe it to have been, we may have some unwanted company."
Sinjinn nods slowly.
Jhanaiyeth blinks.
Jhanaiyeth asks, "Magics ?"
Sinjinn says, "Yes."
Leyrn nods slightly.
You say, "I don't know who it was directed at."
Jhanaiyeth's face distorts slightly with fear.
You raise an eyebrow in Leyrn's direction.
Scholar Pularynth frowns.
Tarshin comes through the doors into the room.
The air about Tarshin's body crackles with pent up energies.
Leyrn says, "That would be me I believe."
Jhanaiyeth draws back slightly.
You nod to Tarshin politely.
Scholar Pularynth stands up.
Tarshin nods to you.
Leyrn stands up.
Sinjinn nods to Tarshin slightly.
Tarshin bows to Jhanaiyeth.
Leyrn nods to Tarshin.
Leyrn walks over to Tarshin.
Leyrn grabs Tarshin by the arm, motioning for him to follow.
Leyrn opens a filigree door and steps into the front room.
Scholar Pularynth ponders the situation.
Sinjinn says, "Well, that was short lived."
Jhanaiyeth blinks at Scholar Pularynth.
Sinjinn says, "Let's hope we are not."
You say, "One would think the lout would understand what a 'private meeting' entails."
Sinjinn smacks her lips.
Sinjinn glowers.
Sinjinn agrees with you.
You say, "And instruct his friends he is not to be disturbed."
Jhanaiyeth asks, "Oh my ...m'lord should we stay here do you think?"
Sinjinn says, "Unless he spoke of it."
Jhanaiyeth looks obviously worried.
Scholar Pularynth furrows his brow.
Jhanaiyeth asks, "Do you know that man well?"
You say, "My apologies, sir, I hope this does not pose difficulties for you."
Jhanaiyeth peers at Sinjinn.
Scholar Pularynth raises an eyebrow.
Sinjinn says, "I know him not at all, unfortunately."
Jhanaiyeth presses the tea to her one corner of her lips ackwardly.
Jhanaiyeth swallows some hot herbal honey-flavored blackroot tea.
Scholar Pularynth asks, "I'm not familiar with this area at all.. is there anywhere else that we may be safer?"
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow in your direction.
You say, "Hm."
You stand up.
You get a flimsy hide-bound book from an overstuffed chair.
Sinjinn stands up.
Jhanaiyeth stands up.
You say, "The Maedin Society is scarcely frequented at this hour."
You say, "And the booths are quite private."
Scholar Pularynth nods.
You say, "There is also the Hidden Nook, which would be even more private."
Jhanaiyeth says, "Oh, that is a learned place as well."
You open a fitted black velvet cloak.
You put a flimsy hide-bound book in your fitted black velvet cloak.
Jhanaiyeth smiles at Scholar Pularynth.
You close a fitted black velvet cloak.
Sinjinn asks, "Shall we, love?"
Scholar Pularynth says, "Mayhaps we'd be more at ease in this Maedin Society you speak of."
You nod to Scholar Pularynth agreeably.
Scholar Pularynth asks, "Would you mind leading the way?"
You say, "Not at all."
Jhanaiyeth asks, "I wonder what shall we do about the young man?"
Leyrn comes through the doors into the room.
Scholar Pularynth glances at Leyrn.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Oh, there he is."
Scholar Pularynth asks, "What was that about?"
Leyrn says, "A roaming person."
Scholar Pularynth narrows his eyes.
Scholar Pularynth asks, "Where is he now?"
Jhanaiyeth touches Pularynth's arm gently.
Jhanaiyeth says, "He seemed to have manners m'lord."
Leyrn nods.
Leyrn says, "I shall return in a moment.."
Leyrn opens a filigree door and steps into the front room.
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow slowly.
Jhanaiyeth opens her mouth as if to say something.
Jhanaiyeth asks, "Is the society far?"
Jhanaiyeth smiles at Sinjinn.
Jhanaiyeth smiles at you.
You say, "No, merely a few doors down."
Sinjinn smiles.
Jhanaiyeth says, "I shall await him."
Jhanaiyeth says, "M"lord you go ahead."
Jhanaiyeth nods to Scholar Pularynth.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Few notice me."
Scholar Pularynth nods.
Jhanaiyeth bends her head.
Scholar Pularynth says, "One moment."
Scholar Pularynth closes his eyes.
Scholar Pularynth rubs his temples.
Scholar Pularynth gestures and utters a phrase of magic.
Scholar Pularynth opens his eyes.
Jhanaiyeth gazes at Scholar Pularynth.
You say, "There is a building with a dark door just a step down Eberk Lane, to the south."
Scholar Pularynth sighs.
Scholar Pularynth closes his eyes.
Scholar Pularynth sets his mug down.
Scholar Pularynth drops an earthenware mug.
You say, "The Maedin booths are within, in the northern room, and there are private booths."
Scholar Pularynth looks towards the heavens.
Scholar Pularynth raises his arms and lower them slowly while chanting, "Nox Vir".
A dark whirling haze coalesces about Jhanaiyeth's body!
Leyrn walks in.
Scholar Pularynth looks towards the heavens.
Scholar Pularynth raises his arms and lower them slowly while chanting, "Nox Vir".
A dark whirling haze coalesces about Scholar Pularynth's body!
Scholar Pularynth opens his eyes.
You nod approvingly.
Leyrn sits down on an overstuffed chair.

[ The Scholar unpresences the rest of us. ]

Scholar Pularynth says, "It won't harm you."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Just a little... added protection."
Scholar Pularynth pants.
Scholar Pularynth cringes.
Sinjinn nods to Scholar Pularynth.
Scholar Pularynth nods.
Jhanaiyeth looks at Pularynth with shining eyes.
You say, "My thanks."
Scholar Pularynth joins your group.
Scholar Pularynth picks up an earthenware mug.
You say, "In light of the interruptions, we are moving elsewhere." to Leyrn.
Jhanaiyeth joins your group.
Leyrn stands up.
Leyrn nods to you.
You beckon Leyrn toward you.
Leyrn joins your group.
You open a filigree door and step into the front room.

[Essence Inn, Front Room]
Shades of deep violet light cast shadows along the walls and the huge stone fireplace, which stands facing the door. A fringed carpet woven with archaic symbols and glyphs lies directly in front of a kirchewood desk. A large arch, blockaded by massive bronze filigree doors, leads to a small reading room. Opposite the arch, a dark hallway looms. You see Sharla Giltral (seated behind a kirchewood desk).

A lingering scent of incense pervades the air.
The only obvious exit is out.

Jhanaiyeth smiles hesitantly at Jurion. "I will walk as fast as possible."
Sinjinn nods.
Jhanaiyeth limps along behind.
You say, "I will endeavor to pace myself, m'lady."
You say, "It's only a step away."

[Maedin Society, Haafk Hall]
The high arching ceiling in this hexagonal-shaped hall gives it an open feel despite the relatively cramped floor space. There is a sharp air of concentration here that demands silence from any and all visitors. A booth is set into five of the six walls, each with a different colored curtain over its entrance. A large fireplace occupies the sixth wall, providing the hall with its only source of light. A small iron bench near the fireplace exemplifies the room's minimalistic decor. You see a steep spiraling ramp and a black mirrored plaque.
The only obvious exit is south.
Your group follows you.

Jhanaiyeth says, "Ahhh."
Scholar Pularynth gazes in wonder at his surroundings.
Jhanaiyeth gazes in wonder at her surroundings.
You ask, "Shall we find a booth, or remain out here?"
Jhanaiyeth says, "Very nice."
Jhanaiyeth asks, "Oh yes, let's step inside?"

[Maedin Society, Red Booth]
The centerpiece of this small dark booth is a beautifully crafted black marble Maedin table. A small candle set into a gap in the wall bathes the table in a soft amber glow. A thick red curtain separates you from the main room. You see a black marble Maedin table.

Scholar Pularynth nods to Jhanaiyeth.
You sit down at a black marble Maedin table.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Very good."
Jhanaiyeth says, "Much more privacy."
Scholar Pularynth nods.
Sinjinn sits down at a black marble Maedin table.

Sinjinn closes a red curtain.
You smile at Sinjinn.
Scholar Pularynth brushes some dust off of his embroidered gray robe.
Sinjinn smiles at you.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Well then."
Jhanaiyeth asks, "What about that young man?"
Jhanaiyeth asks, "Did he not wish to come?"
Sinjinn asks, "This one?"
Sinjinn points at Leyrn.
Leyrn walks over to a black marble Maedin table.
Jhanaiyeth presses a hand to her chest.
Leyrn leans on a black marble Maedin table.
Leyrn sits down at a black marble Maedin table.
Jhanaiyeth exclaims, "You are Ever so quiet!"
Scholar Pularynth pats Jhanaiyeth on the back.
Leyrn grins at Jhanaiyeth.
Scholar Pularynth smiles.
Leyrn says, "It is a profession."
Leyrn shrugs.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Hmm, I see."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Now, where were we.."
Scholar Pularynth looks lost in thought.
Scholar Pularynth nods.
Jhanaiyeth asks, "You are each ready to learn a bit of orcish then?"
Leyrn nods imperceptibly.
You act: Jurion clasps his hands together.
You nod agreeably.
Scholar Pularynth chuckles.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Now that's the spirit."
Jhanaiyeth says, "His magics help you fathom the mysteries of the language. He has perfected it.."
Sinjinn nods slightly.
Jhanaiyeth looks on approvingly.
Scholar Pularynth says, "We shall start with some common phrases then."
Leyrn nods to Scholar Pularynth slightly.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Or terms, more like."
Scholar Pularynth asks, "I'm sure you all know of rabus?"
Sinjinn nods to Scholar Pularynth slightly.
Scholar Pularynth nods slowly.
Leyrn nods.
Scholar Pularynth says, "The orcs.. they call them.."
You rub Sinjinn's shoulder.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Ernk."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Now you all try."
You begin to say something, then hesitate.
You say, "Earnk."
Sinjinn asks, "Ernk?"
Jhanaiyeth says, "With a bit more chest pressure."
Jhanaiyeth nods to you.
You say, "Ernk."
Leyrn says, "Ernkh."
Scholar Pularynth leans back while sitting on the black marble Maedin table.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Oh yes, better."
Leyrn strokes his chin while considering the situation.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Hmm."
Leyrn says, "Ernk."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Ernk."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Again."
Leyrn says, "Ernk."
You say, "Ernk."
Sinjinn says, "Ernk."
Jhanaiyeth says, "Oh yes, hold the bottom lip very stiff."
Jhanaiyeth says, "Remember tusks when you speak."
Scholar Pularynth nods to Jhanaiyeth.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Picture yourselves speaking through very hard tuskal jaws."
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow.
You ponder the situation.
You ask, "Do gharkins pick this up quickly, with their teeth?"
Sinjinn nods slightly.
Scholar Pularynth nods to you.
Scholar Pularynth says, "They have a much easier time with it... the languages are slightly similiar, also."
Jhanaiyeth nods to Scholar Pularynth.
You say, "Pretend you're Vurlak. Slujuk." to Sinjinn.
You wink at Sinjinn.
Sinjinn snickers at you.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Orcish is arrogant though."
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Shoulders up, chest out, thrust the words."
Leyrn rubs his chin.
Scholar Pularynth nods agreeably.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Now, let's add another word. "where"..."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Ghirk."
Jhanaiyeth smiles helpfully, her mishapen face leering at the students.
Scholar Pularynth says, "Try speaking it aloud."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Ghirk."
Leyrn says, "Gherkh."
You say, "Ghirkh."
Sinjinn holds her bottom lip very stiffly as she says, "Ghirk."
Sinjinn glances at Jhanaiyeth.
Sinjinn raises an eyebrow.
Scholar Pularynth grins.
Jhanaiyeth nods to Sinjinn.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Oh yes, but you."
Jhanaiyeth smiles at Leyrn.
Jhanaiyeth says, "You are too gentle still."
Leyrn ponders the situation.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Get a bit angry."
Jhanaiyeth nods slowly.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Perhaps that willhelp."
Leyrn fumes!
Leyrn exclaims, "Ghirk!"
Jhanaiyeth presses her hand to her face, stifling a laugh.
Jhanaiyeth says, "Oh yes, most well done."
Scholar Pularynth grins slightly to himself.
You act: Jurion sobers his face.
You say, "Arrogance, I have in no short supply."
You inhale deeply through your nose.
Sinjinn smirks at you.
You say, "Ghirk."
Jhanaiyeth smiles at Scholar Pularynth.
Jhanaiyeth says, "These shall pick this up well."
Scholar Pularynth says, "Let's add the two together now.. "Where is the rabu""
Sinjinn says, "I was thinking you'd come to this naturally."
Scholar Pularynth nods to Jhanaiyeth.
Sinjinn winks at you.
Sinjinn shifts her eyes to Scholar Pularynth.
