Kaezar Scratch, Part III

Kaezar Scratch, for the days before Sonsday, 15th of Kolbre

@ A boat of fishermen in the bay disappeared Friarsday. The local citizenry
reports that they saw a large gray whale break the surface and swallow the boat
whole. Nothing has been heard or seen of the fishermen and boat since.
@ A shadowy halfling was spotted by the guard stealing from the king's larder.
Later that day a few townsfolk ran into him as he was rushing towards
Fishbourne. After a few quick words about visiting his brother he ran off into
the shadows.
@ Rumor has it that pixies may be the cause of the rift through which the
wraiths are coming. Our sources tell us that they overheard a guardsman
talking about an order from higher up to have all pixie-like wings cut off of
any creature they are attached to.
@ Recently many a merchant has came to town in hopes of selling their wares
before the King's Coronation. Among the most recent in town have been two
seamstresses who are sisters. Rumor has it they were written up by Belart for
not having a permit to sell their products.
@ Our sources tell us that Ulpril's husband, a large Temboc Gharkin wearing a
large metal banded skeleton over his body for armor, has been spotted
ransacking a village northerly Tesin'Kai. Two guardsmen, Wamphyr and Merow,
have been put on duty to find her husband by Eszare.
@ Teru, the rumored revolutionary, has been spotted speaking with Rowen about
mercenary work. He also attempted to speak with Diedre before she had dinner
with Prince Vek a few nights past.
@ It has been reported by one of our guard informants, who is often close to
Prince Vek, that the royal taster for Prince Vek died of poisoning instantly on
the same night as the dinner between Deidre and Prince Vek.
@ We've heard many people wondering about the large amount of bunnies that have
been running around. So we asked Animal Empath Torguss about all the bunnies.
Torguss gave us a rather obvious answer, "Well, you see, bunnies reproduce a
lot, and when you have the younger ones reproduce and so on. Eventually you
end up with a lot of bunnies."
@ A new creature has invaded the trail going to Never'Upon'Vinre. Similar to a
boarish orc they are quite fearsome and wield a wicked weapon.
@ A young stable boy at the castle reported that he overheard Prince Vek
talking with one of his advisors about Lucilla. Rumor around the castle has it
that Prince Vek has an eye for Lucilla and is considering courting her.
@ Deidre, the Baron's Niece, has been murdered. A rapier sliced through her
body and slew her instantly. Goozedown claims the murderer to be Shade.
Although Shade was reported out hunting with Leyrn at the time of the murder.
Unconfirmed rumor has it that Shade was working under the direction of Rowen,
who is working rumored to be working with Teru.
@ A small urchin boy, who claims witness to the brutal murder of Deidre was
found in an alley by one of our sources. Our source brought this boy to us to
be cared for. While in our custody this boy recounted what he saw to us.
Shade was coming across the way towards Deidre when a knife sliced the air
viciously behind her and embedded itself in her back. Shade rushed towards her
in an attempt to catch her as she appeared to faint. Diving he caught her as
hit the ground. Her body fell limp in his arms, continuing its path to the
ground, where her head landed on his forgotten weapon, insuring her unfortunate
death.
@ A horde of orc's invaded Kaezar, getting past the guard without detection on
Sonsday. The townsmen, with the valiant help of Ayron and Eyssa, battled them
back. It appears that they climbed the walls and attacked the center of town
before the guard detected them.
