Reaction to the Scratch

after a frightening night of running and hiding from the guard i ventured out from my sanctuary in never to wander the streets and think about a way to solve unfounded accusation of treason that had been placed on the head of myself and alot of others who attended the auditions to perform at the kings coronation. shade after hearing i might come to harm began a search for me in an effort to keep me safe and eventually found me mumbling to myself about false accustations. in an effort to cheer me up he suggested a trip to clarrisse's fine establishment to look at fabric for a new gown to wear if i was cleared in time to attend the coronation. we chatted with clarisse as we shopped about the local merchants and various happenings about town when the conversation turned to rade and the parchments that had been found about kaezar claiming several people as traitors and wanted by the guards dead or alive. she was quite surprised to hear about this since the ambassador clarita had just been in to buy fabric and hadnt mentioned it. she suggested perhaps clarita was still in town shopping and we might be able to catch her in one of the shops or perhaps the duchesses villa. shade and i thanked her and quickly ran out and searched the local shops where as luck would have it we found clarita looking at jewelry to wear to the coronation. we told her of the accusations supposedly made by the tax man rade and she was astonished and quite upset. she asked if we had seen a royal seal on these parchments and shade told her no they were penned by a scribe name of scratch. since people are quick to beleive the printed word whether its from the crown or not she asked us to meet her at breezy point where she would summon the royal guard and put a stop to all this and make it safe for us to return to kaezar. shade offered to run back to town for a copy of the parchments to show the royal guard while clarita and i sat in the villa having a lovely talk. a royal guardsman prompty showed up quite out of breath from his journey to answer claritas call. needless to say he was most upset to learn his guards were again gaining the reputation of having a few bad seeds amongst their ranks. shade retuned with one of the parchments which clarita looked over and handed to the guardsman. he told us he would be showing it to his superiors and ordering the arrest of the scribe named scratch and that the guard would post an official announcement declaring the innocence of all that had been named on it and left with a bow to do so. after telling us to please enjoy the villa clarita left to return to kaezar to oversee some offical business and assured us by the time we made out journey back all would be well and safe again.
