An Ivory Linen Parchment

[Shifting Woods, Rutted Road]
Like the entrance to a shadowy cave, the limbs of the black trees arch menacingly over the old cart road at this edge of the wood. Passing from light into darkness, the path seems to cower under the branches. At its very edge, a carved marble bench sits forgotten, half-hidden in the brambles of an overgrown rose bush. Also here is Shala, Kot, and Xelian.
Obvious exits are southeast and northwest.

Kot says, "I got somethin' to show you.."
Kot grins.
Xelian smiles at Kot.
You glance at Kot.
Kot opens a simple backpack.
Kot says, "Watch this..."
You get a blood red rose from an overgrown rose bush.
Kot says, "Another decoration for our little play."
You sniff your blood red rose.
Sniffing in the heady fragrance of this rose you feel a sudden longing to see a friend, long dead, once again.
Shala gazes at you.
Kot ponders the situation.

Shala glances at Kot.

Xelian asks, "Whatcha got, sweet?"

Shala peers at Kot.
Xelian walks over to Kot.
Kot says, "Where the..."
Shala asks, "What's wrong?"
Xelian touches Kot.
Kot blinks.

You wear your blood red rose, and it's oddly disturbing perfume surrounds you.
Kot mumbles some obscenities.
Xelian says, "Sweet.."
Shala shudders.
Kot exclaims, "It's friggin' gone!"
Xelian touches Kot.
Shala peers at Kot.
Xelian shakes her head.
Shala asks, "What's gone?"
Xelian gets an ivory linen parchment from a padded bright blue canvas rucksack.
Xelian offers her ivory linen parchment to Kot.
Kot accepts Xelian's offer.
Xelian kisses Kot on the cheek.
Shala looks confused.
Kot glances at Xelian.
Xelian says, "I though ye know I had it, hon."

Kot laughs.
Kot chuckles.
Kot exclaims, "Wheew!"
You open your mouth as if to say something.
Kot says, "What a relief."
Kot grins.
You say, "Well, now I want to know what it is."
Shala shrugs at you.
Kot says, "Ladies and gentlemen."
Kot says, "We got ourselves."
Shala grins at Kot.
Kot taps his ivory linen parchment.
Xelian buffs her fingernails against her cotehardie.
Shala says, "And us, too."
Shala nods.
Kot says, "An official permit.. with a royal crest."
Xelian asks, "Light fingers, eh?"
Shala blinks at Kot.
You ask, "For what?"
Xelian gazes at her hand.
Shala asks, "We've a what?"
Shala stares at Kot.
Shala exclaims, "You've got to be kidding me!"
Kot says, "That orders us to raise money for the construction of the temple of Eyssa."
Kot grins.
You say, "Ahhhhh."
Kot offers his ivory linen parchment to Shala.
You ask, "Let me see?"
Shala exclaims, "Stars!"
Shala accepts Kot's offer.
Kot says, "Well.. we will still have to write it."
Kot chuckles quietly.

Xelian grins.
You say, "How did you manage to..."
Kot says, "But the seal is as authentic as it gets."
Kot winks.
Kot grins at you.
You act: Jurion laughs!
You say, "Well."

Shala grins slowly.

Xelian leans on Kot.
Kot nods to you.
Kot rubs Xelian gently.

Shala grins at Xelian.
Kot closes a simple backpack.
You act: Jurion whistles.
You say, "Well."
Shala says, "I think that's pretty than most gems I've seen."
Shala chuckles.
Xelian says, "If it dissolves, we will take that as deific intervention, and cease immediately."
Kot says, "Now you understand why I had my stuff jump up to my throat when I thought it was gone."
You ask, "That sheds a whole new light on the endeavor, doesn't it?"
You laugh.
Shala nods to Xelian.
You nod to Xelian.
Kot chuckles.
Xelian grins.
Kot asks, "We'll take wha?.. huh?"
Shala grins.
Kot grins at you.
Shala says, "In the meantime we'll take it as Imperial sanction."
Shala grins.
You rub your hands together.
Kot says, "We're getting stuff together.. slowly but surely."
Kot winks.
Kot grins widely.
