Glossary of Gharish

Originally posted to the old Realms of Exile Forums by Avecrien in August of '99, this word list has been expanded by myself and Vurlak's player. Words in bold are our additions. Although some of the words here were used on the menu of the Black Spine Inn, this is not an official lore document for Unwritten Legends, and should not be taken as such. In other words, staff doesn't have to abide by it, and neither do players.

Notes

Since this list was posted so long ago, some of the definitions sort of fell through the cracks as the gharkin guru (and the nature of the gharkin race) changed over the years. Kuger, for instance, was never explained, so the details of this sport are left open to interpretation. There are no more gharrok ("blessed strength"), a physically powerful sub-race of gharkin from a previous beta, nor are there garuvrak ("without tusks"), a kind of half-orc, half-gharkin crossbreed which were briefly available as a player character race and now only exist as Gryashan miners and foremen. I've always like this word list, though, and I didn't want to see it forgotten.
